Question about the Mormon Book: Pearl of Great Price?

When it was found out and proven that the Pearl of Great Price was just a dead sea scroll that contained some burial ritual (Rather than the Book of Abraham like Joseph Smith Claimed), does it make you wonder if some of Joe’s other books were made up too? Or do you just ignore it because the Profit of Gawd told you not to listen to those anti-Mormon scientists?

One LDS Egyptologist Dr Stephen Thompson has expressed his doubts regarding Joseph Smith and The Book of Abraham. He provides three reasons why.

1. Joseph Smiths’ translation is not in agreement with Modern Egyptologists interpretations.

2. Anachronisms make it imposseble for it to have been written by Abraham.

3. Modern understanding of Egypt’s relation to Asia makes it very unlikely that it has anything to do with a sacrifice.

LDS apologists are desperate to make the science fit, “Nothing that’s been written from an apologetic point of view comes close to it in accuracy”. DR. Stephen Thompson.

You see what happens is; LDS apologists say one thing, are not taken seriously by the outside scholarly community, but are believed by LDS members.
